We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team onsite in San Jose. This role is integral to driving excellence in supplier quality and internal processes, with responsibilities including leading ISO audit preparation, managing supplier quality programs, conducting root cause investigations, and developing corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA). The role also entails maintaining quality documentation, overseeing BOM processes, and collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement best practices.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead ISO preparation process  

• Lead Supplier Quality Management Process  

• Lead root cause investigations and develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) 

• Create and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and inspection reports. 

• Oversee BOM (Bill of Materials) process and collaborate with engineering and production teams to update BOMs as necessary for new designs or changes. 

• Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and promote best practices. 

• Monitor quality metrics and report on performance, recommending areas for enhancement.

Knowledge/Skills Preferences:

• BS/MS required, EE or ME preferred (or equivalent)

• 4+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance, preferably in the renewable energy sector or related industries.

• Has led ISO audit in the past

• Has managed Supplier Quality in the past

• Strong Ability to Organize and Manage Documentation Effectively

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must be a self-starter - a highly motivated person able to work in a fast paced environment that is continually changing.

The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000.
